From the approximate area of Apartamento Veramar many everyday plans can be done on foot: beach, promenade, Miramar Shopping Centre, Parque Comercial Miramar, Sohail Castle, nearby restaurants, Maskom, the historic centre and Bioparc.
Stay Fuengirola recommends walking for short trips and using public transport or taxi when it is hot, when travelling with children or carrying heavy shopping.

Cercanias C1: the most useful connection
Renfe identifies the C1 as the Fuengirola-Malaga Centro-Alameda line. It links Fuengirola with Los Boliches, Torreblanca, Carvajal, Benalmadena-Arroyo de la Miel, Torremolinos, Plaza Mayor, Airport, Malaga Maria Zambrano and Malaga Centro-Alameda, among other stops.
It is the clearest option for the airport, Malaga, Benalmadena and Torremolinos when you prefer not to drive. We do not publish frequencies or last-train times: check them on the day.
How to use Cercanias
Go to the station, confirm the destination, buy the ticket at machines or use accepted payment methods, keep the ticket until you exit and check platform and alerts.
Renfe allows simple journeys to be paid directly at gates with a compatible bank card or mobile through Cronos, alongside the usual options. Tickets, discounts and payment methods can change: always check Renfe official information.

Buses outside Fuengirola

How to get from Fuengirola to Mijas Pueblo
For Mijas Pueblo, consider intercity bus, taxi, car or an organised tour. It is a frequent question because there is no direct Cercanias train to the village.
The best option depends on outbound and return times, heat, children and whether you want to combine several stops.
How to get to Marbella or Estepona
With the current network there is no direct Cercanias connection from Fuengirola to Marbella or Estepona. Intercity bus or car are usually the practical options.
Travel times depend heavily on traffic. Check stops and return times before leaving, especially in the afternoon or high season.
Taxi in Fuengirola
Taxi is especially useful with a lot of luggage, small children, night hours, door-to-door journeys, reduced mobility or links to areas without train.
